GOZEN GOFUKUYU

Located in the most prosperous area of Kiramichi, Gozen Gofukuyu is a favorite destination for Western visitors. The shop offers ready-made wafuku as well as fabric selection and custom tailoring services.

The season's most fashionable fabrics are displayed openly outside, while a steam-powered mannequin at the entrance showcases the latest styles favored by noble ladies. Lanterns and stained glass bathe the entire building in a dazzling glow.

GAMI RYO AN

Gami Ryo An is a long-established small wagashi shop in the Kira michi, offering traditional flavors and frequented by locals. The owners are an elderly couple who live on the second floor of the shop.

Named "Gami," it cleverly incorporates the characters of "Mitsui," as this shop actually serves as an information point for the Mitsui family. The lanterns above the door, with their different colors, transmit messages outward. A rare coin-operated telephone stands in front of the shop, also serving as one of the sources of information.
