Matsudaira shinichi

Shinichi grew up in a small fishing village on an isolated island. During the construction of Gozen-Jima by the shogunate, he and his parents were forced to leave their hometown. The journey back to the mainland was harsh, and his parents passed away one after another while struggling to survive. In order to live, the young Shinichi joined the shogunate's expanding army. After over ten years of hard work, he finally became a samurai, and was granted the Matsudaira family name.

Shinichi is impatient by nature, but highly obedient to orders. His harsh struggle for survival has made him focus more on the present moment, while his avoidance of the past often makes him seem lacking in reflection. His commoner background and pragmatic personality earned him the trust of the General, who assigned him to accompany Tokugawa Senko as both bodyguard and informant during her investigation of a murder case in the Kira Michi.
