MURASE TSUBAKI

Tsubaki and Shinichi grew up together in the fishing village, where she lived with her elderly grandmother. Unable to afford the cost of moving back to the mainland, they were forced to relocate to a more remote part of the island.

Tsubaki despises both the shogunate and Westerners, She robs from the rich to help the poor. She has also taken in many stray cats, who have become her trusted and capable companions.
